Hi.
After finally sorting out the MPEG4 issue (and discovering that it doesn't work at all with the WMP I have), I embarked into a search to find alternative browser side plug ins. After checking the Open-Source landscape, I came upon this small jewel - http://mediaframe.org/.
Now, it seems as a small Java applet, allowing to stream MPEG-1 and MPEG-4 media, which is targeted mainly towards the media industry (for the pre-recorded media files, like movie trailers and advertisements). As a sample they have the following ad running:
http://mediaframe.org/showcase/mpeg_4/
I checked the forum, and the users there are actively using the FFMPEG to produce such files. Evermore, some of them started to use VLC to stream live media from Webcams, and serve it via this applet.
I think that this could be a great addition to ZM, and allow a true-cross platform ability, similar to the Cambozola fashion.
Phil, what do you think?
