i've seen other conversations about slow playback but no clear resolution
i'm using 1.36.33
local attached cameras
if i encode to h264 playback is good at any speed
if i only store jpeg frames playback is not good
with frames it only plays at 1x and is choppy
frame playback worked well in previous versions
is there a fix for this
playback jpeg frames slow
Re: playback jpeg frames slow
maybe i'm asking the wrong question
does anyone have good playback with stored frames

Re: playback jpeg frames slow
I would think if jpeg frames only worked well, it was a bug. You should use video writer if you want good playback.with frames it only plays at 1x and is choppy
frame playback worked well in previous versions
Re: playback jpeg frames slow
Dealing with slow playback of JPEG frames can be really frustrating, especially when you're trying to review your footage. It's strange that playback worked well in previous versions but not in the current one.
One thing you could try is optimizing the JPEG files with compress jpeg. This might help reduce the file sizes and improve playback speed. Additionally, double-checking your software settings and ensuring that all updates are installed could also potentially resolve the issue.
If the problem persists, it might be worth reaching out to the software's support team for further assistance.
