Cause - Continuous?

In the list of videos under Console, monitor name, almost all of my vids say in the "Cause" column "continuous" Nothing is happening when I play the vid. Does that mean it's recording continuously? I have motion detection zones setup. So I would think only motion would trigger a recording. How to I trigger a record only if there is motion? Thanks.

The monitor function should be set to modect if you only want motion detection. If it set to record then you get the continuous.
