Cameras "Not running" after Debian-Update

Post by Centaurus17 »

Hi,

I'm running ZM 1.36 for a long time on my Debian 11 (Bullseye) server ... today (after some months) I did an update on Debian, then I rebooted the server. ZM did start correctly, also events are captured (if somebody is walking in front of the cams) ... but the cams does stop working after some minutes! In detail:
  • In the right upper corner of the console ZM is shown as RUNNING,
  • while all cameras went to red "Not Running"!
After restart/apply the same problem: the cameras does work for approx. 5 Minutes ... then -> "Not Running" ... what's wrong?

Thanks (and sorry my bad English).

Additional ... I have to specify this issue: I was away from home the past few hours ... ZM did capture my coming home - although the cameras are shown in the console as red & "Not Running" (screenshot above)...

Then I restarted again: the cameras are shown as green/Capturing and after some minutes they changed to red/Not Running (nothing to see in "log") - but did continue working...

... what's going on there?

Thx

You have your fps reporting interval set to something large. Change it to something more like < 300 (5 minutes).

1.36.35 will be out soon and will fix this.

I set the "FPS reporting interval" in the section "Misc" in the cameras from 1000 to 300 -> now the cameras are shown als green/capturing further on :D . Thanks!

I hope there will be a hint how to do the update 1.36.34 -> 1.36.35 at Debian at the right time.

Thanks a lot.

Yo, ran into a similar goof with my cams. Goofy enough, it turned out to be the monitor settings throwing 'em off. Might wanna check 'em over, especially any funky presets. Still weird how it happened after the update though, huh... tech stuff, amirite?
