Hi,
Im using v1.36.33 on ubuntu 22.04 LTS and i want to regulate my fps and kB/s-Rate on recording, to reduce the storage space I need to save events.
My goal was to set it to 5 fps and a decent bitrate so i can save 14 days worth of events from 8 cameras on a 4TB harddrive.
Unfortunately everything like putting analysis fps to 5 or doing "-r 5" in the options of the source stuff wont help
Putting the Max FPS to 5 in the General Tab of each camera resulted in having 0-2 fps in recording, sometimes it wont record at all.
Is there any way to regulate it withing the options or code to set the bitrate and fps to a certain max?
All my cameras are Reolink RLC-820A and on Live view i want to keep it on the high settings i have
Cheers
Set FPS and kB/s-Rate for Recording
Re: Set FPS and kB/s-Rate for Recording
Set the FPS and bitrate at the camera. Use MODECT to record just motion (saves a lot of space). You may have to work with the zone settings to get the motion detection working the way you want it to work. I have six cams on MODECT and run a 500 GB SSD on my server. I purge events after 14 days and have never gone above 50% usage of the hard drive space.
If I remember correctly, those rate settings in Zoneminder were for analog cams.

but i want to keep the fps and bitrate for live view at the default settings - is it not possible to just change it for the recordings and i have to record full 24/7 not only on motion detection
