Can someone explain this to me a little better?
The capturing options for source, the motion detection for Analysis, and the recording for Recording
If I want the cameras to be running, but only capturing motion detection events, otherwise on but not recording, would these settings do the trick? Its the Source options that confuse me as capturing set to Always (which doc says is normal mode) seems like it will constantly record
What are the config options if you just want the cameras on in monitor mode, not capturing / recording anything?
Source - Capturing - Always
Analysis - Motion Detection - Always
Recording - Recording - On Motion / Trigger / etc
Will those options give me only recording for motion detection?

Those are the settings that I use. After that, the determination to save depends on how you set up the zones.
