Maybe it's something simple that I just don't know about but I've been trying to figure out why my cameras are never actually live.
All images are delayed by one to a few seconds.
I have 5 cameras in montage and some have part of the view that others do. Meaning, the views overlap a little. When there is movement, I can see a delay across the cameras or one camera shows something I already know is delayed and the other is even more delayed.
I hope I am explaining this correctly and if so, can anyone suggest what I should be looking for in my setup that is causing this.
Do I have some of the cameras at too high a resolution for example or too many fps or perhaps the PC is not powerful enough?

Yes. If you can lower the camera fps, try that. Resolution reduction will help. Preferably a cpu core per camera, 3 cams max per core.Do I have some of the cameras at too high a resolution for example or too many fps or perhaps the PC is not powerful enough?
"In my experience"
Good luck with it.

I'll give that a try.
I assume I have to change both the camera settings and the config in the ZM GUI.

FPS must be on the camera itself. Resolution too, which may not require a ZM change, depending. There is considerable interaction.change both the camera settings and the config in the ZM GUI.
Re: All cameras are delayed image
If you have set fps in zm, then that is likely your problem. Clear the fps fields

Hi,
So I did those things and there is no change. Cameras are always delayed and one that faces almost the same direction is at least 20/30 seconds behind.

20 seconds - wow. Are your logs clean? Tell us more about your hardware?
