How to connect the PTZ Standalone camera on PC

Hi friends,

I know this is not the right place to ask this wuestion but ii am putting it here.

I want to connect a PTZ camera(i don not have any right now) to my Linux box and use it as a monitor in the Zone Minder.

Please someone tell me how do i do this.
I do not want to use Network camera.

you need a dome camera that supports 485 telemetry, an 232 to 485 protocol converter and cabling. I have never tried the above but thats the theory

It works fine. I have used rs232 to rs485 converters in the past with no issues.

As mentioned above the control link needs to be rs485-rs232 serial. However the video link is just regular coax type cabling which you will need to terminate in a video capture card.
