Hi,
I'm getting a very odd date and time problem, which i can't work out.
On the webpage i get a date and time, but the time on the video is different. it's like to different timezones are in use.
it's all rather odd as the time stamp used against events is the one on the web and not the one on the video.
Any ideas.
regards
Paul

Re: Strange Date and Time issue
Hi Paul,
Are you using 1.18.x? And if so do you have the TIMESTAMP_ON_CAPTURE option on or off? Whichever it is can you try the other one, restart ZM and then see if it makes any difference. Also what kind of times are they, do they differ by whole hours and if so how many. If you could give some examples it would help.

Re: Strange Date and Time issue
Hi Phil,
Nope, using 1.17.0 from iso, haven't worked out/read how to install 1.18.1
Time on webpage is 7.12 am, time of event is 15.12. time on video is 15.12
so yes it is a full number of hours out.
Also i still have got e-mail of events working and wonder if this is part of the problem. I know e-mail works from the installed linux as i can send e-mail.
I guess i should install 1.18.1 and see.
Regards

Re: Strange Date and Time issue
I suspect that you are seeing this perhaps because the ISO configures your box to be in a different timezone. Ross, who built it, is in the US so it may just have his timezone set on it in which case perhaps one of the time routines is applying a TZ offset mistakenly. I'm not familiar with that distribution so I can't be much more help I'm afraid other than to say check your system config for anything of this nature.
