I dont have anything here that streams https, do you think you could try entering it as a url cam and let me know the path statement that you used and ill look at including it.

James
Yea just adding https:// to the stream user path instead of http:// call will work as long as the server has a good accepted ssl certificate or you have accepted one in IE from the server previously. I use Imap secure and pop secure on my server at home but I have a self signed certificate. As long as I have previously accepted and installed it from remote. All secure email https: calls work fine without throwing the You have not paid $$$$ to ABC Secure for a KNOWN root certificate. :D

So that should work with zm, but as I sad the encrypting of images does slow things down and ands overhead to the packets.

Great James, I am glad you got it working.
Don't remember if I tried card type 131 on mine. I think I determined it was a card type 133 and it was only supported in the 0.4.9CVS build of BTTV and I did not have it on the SME server. Darn card had nothing on it but I found it was a SkY-404a I think made by Shensing or somebody :D

At any rate I put it up for the moment. I ordered a ProVideo 120fps 16 port from http://bluecherry.net using the zoneminder discount code Phil advertised in the news section last Friday. They supplied the modprobe line with the purchase email! Seem like pretty good folks to deal with and at least you get warranty and tech support!

Glad you got yours working... I may give the one I got a try again with 131 card type. Not sure I tried that one, but I rememerb it looked just like the one you put the links too. Course it was an Ebay special.....

Hey I dwl loaded the last beta.... Thanks for the Testing Kudos :D

I plugged the stream line in as a url camera and it works in zm4ms, I still have to figure out the zm streaming problem from here at work.

Here is a sample screen from 13 Camera/url Grabs zm having the 1st. 5 cameras and the rest various other cams I use on the weather site or url cams. http://roswellweather.net/zm4ms-sample.jpg

This is just a sample of what zm4ws can do for the other guys around that have not tried it.

Next major step in your free time would be seperate refresh rates for url individual cams <G> In your free time James<G>

Oh and feature update to Beta for all the help Dan has been to me in testing this app..... wait for it

Individual refresh rates for url cams
Note no testing (as usual) done on this and its only in the latest beta and DONT PUT THEM TO 0, no error checking on these ones
BTW if not a url cam any value will just be ignored

I'm still having trouble getting the windows viewer to work (file dated 06/12/05).

I've configured the following settings:
Under the 'monitors' tab, I've filled in the following details for 'cam 1':
IP / URL: https://10.0.0.1
Port: 444
MON: 1

Under the 'Users' tab, I've filled in the Admin Pass, User Name, and Password with the details I use to login to the web interface.

Clicked 'save', and back in the viewer I simply get the picture shown for an image yet to be loaded. It briefly flashes to a red cross at the refresh interval.

If I put https://10.0.0.1:444 into a web browser and login with the same details used in the windows viewer, it all works fine (I've previously accepted and installed the SSL cert, so it doesn't even come up asking me about that).

Any suggestions?

Also, what is the 'URL' check box for each cam under the monitors tab used for?

Cheers,
-Kent

you cvan use the url tick box and then enter a url into to ip/url space, if using non ticked url mode (default) then just put the ip addess in the ip space :444 in the port number and check that https:// is entered under the path settings. Are these cams available through the web, can i try and let you know the settings cos i havnt ever tried https mode, should work in theory though

Sometimes you amaze me James!

Just about the time I get the per cam url refresh reminder then there it is and I am happy it works great!!!!

I was also able to get motion to work a few times. Every now an then it throws a mysql error about unable to sync date and time with client. This I noticed on a coule of cams. Looking at the frames that error I see some database entries where a time is missing with the date. This may be the cause on my end only from stopping or restarting zm so much in changing cams or image sizes. But looks great once it all loads up and starts playing.... and it does take some time :D

Did you change the Cam description display ? I noticed it flashing on and off and in a more subdued white. Don't know if this is is a by product of adding the per cam refreshes or not.

Hey, Glad to see he got https to work. I figured it should. Good deal.

Sure turned in to a much larger and much more versatile program James.

Now if we can find away to get 40 hours in a day... You can get rich off of it :D Better shut up, Might be in the next beta

re the motion thing i think im gonna have a date selection just to keep the data down, the bulk of the time is 2 fold
1 streaming all the events to zm4ms
then zm4ms populating the table i also need to learn how to create new threads for the app to stop it hanging like it does
