Repeating bogus events

I have been seeing the following bad entries in my events window for the last 3 days.

Motion 12/31 18:00:00 17199176.02 64 50 4175 83 93

The date and time are always 12/31 18:00:00 with the large number for the duration.

Any ideas on what could be wrong?

I've not seen this kind of thing before. Are you able to go into the DB and extract a bit more detail?

you havnt got the zone so sensitive its constantly in alarm have you? when you view the stream does it goto idle?

ps and we would be after the relevant log files like starting new event, capturing at x fps etc etc

No I don't have the zones too sensitive. The thing is that it was working just fine until a couple of day ago.

A couple of things I noticed.

When I look at the stills of the bad entries, there is a lot of black frames intermixed with the same frame of a valid capture over and over.

Also, this is a wireless web camera which I think it is loosing connection ocasionally. Could this be the cause?

i would think so yes as this will be causing no end of grief it it keeps appearing and disapearing. You will have some errors in you rlogs

Those are not errors, just informative messages so don't worry about that. Anything in /var/log/messages?

If you can just do a manual 'select' from the Events table for an event or two with this problem then it might give a bit more info.

This is really really strange.

A long shot, but have you tried doing

mysqlcheck <your db>

just in case it's a corrupted DB?

The mysqlcheck is OK.

I don't know. I think that the server and camera can't talk to each other and that is causing it. WIFI networking could be the cause.

When I get home, I'll try moving the antenna's to get a better signal.
