Would be nice to be able to export the current zm config (in an easy interface way.) You could then backup zm settings and save to thumb drive etc.

edit Obviously one of the 'a bit down the list' suggenstions
Cheers

phil thanks mate. Ive had another idea, that i have not seen on any other dvr. A commision option. At the moment when we install a system we have take imagages and record the setup as installed as part of the certification process (applying for urn's etc). At the moment with the digi sprite we record (on paper!) the current setup of the machine, (images sizes, record reates, vmd etc) and export a 10 min section of video to keep for nacoss. This would be some much easier if it was a make commision file option. Dunno how much work it is and i assume the commercial dvr developers nick your ideas. Cheers for a superb system phil.

sorry phil.
When we commision a system prior to certification we need to take and keep a section of recording from all connected cameras and keep (in case there is a complaint from the client and they have altered the system after we commisioned) eg. we record all cameras wlk round the site a couple of times then save the video files to 2 cd's for our archives. We also need to record how the system is programmed so if an event is missed or the recorder fails etc we need to prove to nacoss we are not negligent and we set the system up correctly. eg we record all engineer selectable programming to a sheet. What would be great would be a commision system audit report that we could save that would record say 5mins vid from each camera and show all programming that can be easily altered. That we when it comes to the commision it would just be a case of get it working, test it, press commision button, burn cd, leave site. Just being lazy really!
