port forwarding?

Post by brent@domainwizards.net »

i tired to put my zoneminders onto port 8888 by changing httpd.conf, howerver once i had done that, It resulted in a very nice display from apache confirming that apache and *poof* all the zoneminder stuff had disappeared...

not exactly the desired response i reset httpd.conf back to port 80 and everything was happy again...

methinks there must be a simple way to config the zoneminder stuff to port 8888?

help please

thx

i agree, i use webmin to make apache listen on more ports (i used 81) and it worked a treat, I had to restart apache but that was all

The port of the web server is difined in the http.conf just as you have done. Thats all there should be to it. Make sure if you have the firewall on that it will allow 8888.
