yeah that would be great! All i think is relevant is the info currently in console. If that was opened would it be ssible to restart stop etc. only reason i ask is my could restart/start if stopped automatically. Im also thinking about making an app that monitors servers and gives warnings etc on failure. Im currently using nagios for this but ultimstly id prefer the control of my own app

Your going to hate me....
phpsysinfo provides and xml page that you would be able to use in your app that would give you most all the info your looking for. It would not be part of zm put I could make a script to install everything once I get the other distro done (actually it is done. I'm just making one other script pretty and adding some tests so it can't do dumb things).
I already plan on packaging it in a rpm with some other tools since I didn't like that rpm you got (was way more complicated than it needed to be).
This would also work with your distro I think. I might have to get some specifics from you to make sure.
