I have a question.
On what distro?
What is the card config?
Is this zm from source or RPM?
What version?

Corey

Also, /var/log/messages should give you some more information.

I have Suse 10
The capture cards is two UCC4 conexant chips 878a
The UCC4 have 4 composite channel input.
I have configured the bttv driver for 105 card ( Provideo PV143)
Provideo is equal as UCC4 card , IMHO

Zm is 1.21.4 from source.

The name of device is : /dev/video0 , /dev/video1 & working with xawtv
for all 8 composite channel. ( 4+4)

zmc will crash if setting are that which the card don't support. If it works in xawtv then it will work in zm. The other thing to pay attention to is that the 878 chip don't like having different setting across its inputs, so all inputs on video0 should be the same size and pallet.

ok, the size & pallet for all input non change.

The problem persist :(

Zmc crash with a perl problem ? ( es: modules missing , old version , bad install perl , ecc ecc )

mudule perl-time-hires (downloaded, not present in suse 10 package)
the cause of this problem ?

Is there anything in your zmwatch.log?
How about if there is anything in your apache error_log or mysqld.log?
There is a better hint somewhere in the logs you just got to find where. Since several components are used for zm to work you need to check them all.
