Can anyone help me, i wanted to try and install zoneminder on a distro called UBUNTU. I am a complete novice to LINUX and don't have a clue what im doing i tried the ./configure, make and make install (i think thats the commands) however nothing appears to work. HELP....

You can try my Debian guide, Ubuntu is based on Debian, there's a good chance that will work.
I've tryed to run on Ubuntu but because thats not a server system i changed to Debian.

If your new to linux, you should consider one of the Distros that we offer here to get you up and running. As this forum is all about ZM.
