Config mismatch after upgrading from rc2 to rc3

Post by pestes »

I just upgraded from RC2 to RC3 and I can't see any videos (JPEG). I just see a broken link icon in my browser.

I also see this in the logs when I try to view videos:
Jan 12 12:09:17 src@hostname zmu[5999]: ERR [Config mismatch, expected 163 items, read 161. . Try running zmconfig.pl to reload config.]
Jan 12 12:09:27 src@hostname zmu[6011]: ERR [Config mismatch, expected 163 items, read 161. . Try running zmconfig.pl to reload config.]

Of course, there is no zmconfig.pl anymore. Any ideas?

Did you remember to do
you will need to run zmupdate.pl -f to freshen your database
?

Doh!

I missed that step.

It might be worth changing the Config mismatch error message though now that zmconfig.pl is gone.

Thanks again,

Also, ordinarily you wouldn't run zmupdate.pl -f as such. The same functionality is included in just a regular update between versions. It's just a bit of a hack for scenarios liek this where all that you want to do is reload the configuration.

where does zmupdate get the zm db username from? It's not using the one I set in zm.conf...

It will get it from the installed zm.conf UNLESS there is another zm.conf in the current directory when it will get it from there instead.

I have just put a warning in for when this happens, as I think it might be confusing.
