Feb 9 22:20:37 surveilance zmc_dvideo0[5590]: ERR [Failed to set picture attributes: Invalid argument]
Feb 9 22:20:37 surveilance pwc: Could not find suitable size.

In where you configured your device and camera settings.
The values you entered are not accepted by your card.
Try some basic settings and work your way from there like 320x240 rgb or b/w.

Both answers are in the FAQ and in the Manual.

I've checked the FAQ, heres what i've done, tried the pix size in FAQ and 640x800 as it says on the webcam Philips ToUcam FUN II PCVC 830K

Error:
Feb 10 13:11:20 surveilance zmc_dvideo0[7451]: ERR [Failed to set picture attributes: Invalid argument]

I also did the shared memory "upgrade" in FAQ and rebooted i still get:
Feb 10 13:11:20 surveilance zmc_dvideo0[7451]: ERR [Can't shmget, probably not enough shared memory space free: Invalid argument]

I went throug the logs here are some more:
Feb 10 13:11:08 surveilance zmwatch[7428]: ERR [Can't get shared memory id '7a6d2001', 1: No such file or directory]

When i look at ipcs after run of zmpkg the apache2 is removed there, and apache is dead. Restart of apache and ipcs gives still none, i think i have to reboot to make it work again. But i've set the same shared memory address in zm config.

Feb 10 13:10:16 surveilance zmfix[7378]: ERR [Can't chmod /dev/v4l/video0 to 20666: Operation not permitted]

I think this error contributes to the next error you are getting. If the image is not able to be captured, then there will be nothing in the shared mem.

I'm not familuar with the flavor of linux you are useing but is /dev/v4l/video0 correct?
All other versions of Linux that I have used have always been /dev/videoN.

I think it'll depends a bit which flavour of device system's being used. On my Gentoo system /dev/video0 is a link to /dev/v4l/video0.

Must be, I just check Fedora and the /dev only has a link from video -> video0 and no v4l anywhere.
At least now I know or at least have an idea

i think i have come a little further with errors:

Feb 11 00:30:18 surveilance zmdc[11103]: INF ['zmc -d /dev/video0' started at 06/02/11 00:30:18]
Feb 11 00:30:18 surveilance zmdc[11029]: INF ['zmc -d /dev/video0' starting at 06/02/11 00:30:18, pid = 11103]
Feb 11 00:30:18 surveilance zmc_dvideo0[11103]: INF [Debug Level = 0, Debug Log = <none>]
Feb 11 00:30:18 surveilance zmdc[11029]: INF ['zmc -d /dev/video0' died, signal 10]
Feb 11 00:30:58 surveilance zmdc[11029]: INF [Starting pending process, zmc -d /dev/video0]
Feb 11 00:30:58 surveilance zmc_dvideo0[11152]: INF [Debug Level = 0, Debug Log = <none>]
Feb 11 00:30:58 surveilance zmdc[11152]: INF ['zmc -d /dev/video0' started at 06/02/11 00:30:58]
Feb 11 00:30:58 surveilance zmdc[11029]: INF ['zmc -d /dev/video0' starting at 06/02/11 00:30:58, pid = 11152]
Feb 11 00:30:58 surveilance zmdc[11029]: INF ['zmc -d /dev/video0' died, signal 10]

it looks like this now. And funny think.. it doesn't open the video0 device cause then a red light on the cam indicates it, cat /dev/video0 opens the device..

Your best bet would probably be to try getting the camera working with xawtv first. It's much easier to try different settings and so on with xawtv, and options like -hwscan make figuring out what's where a whole heap easier...

xawtv -c /dev/video0 works flawlessly on the camera...
