Kodicom 8800 working perfectly

Post by sugacapra »

ok,
time to post it. card now is working perfectly smooth for about 24 hours, with 2 cams connected (next week i try with 4 cams)

the card is cheap and work very well, so let me suggest to consider this as a good buy for zoneminder server, considering that i pay 150 Canadian $ (about 100 Euros)

feature:
8 chips and 8 cam (pal/ntsc)

to let the card work i've to force in modprobe.conf

options bttv radio=-1 card=77,77,77,77,77,77,77,77

and now the specs of my videoserver

motherboard via epia 5000
linux slackware 10.1 with kernel 2.6.15.1

now it's time to let zoneminder working fully (i've some trouble with 1.22.0)
:-)

:-)

the seller tell me that only 4 cards of this kind remain to him.. seem that some kind of legal issue block the sales... ,a pity cause they work really well.

I got this card working, but with different settings. I put a page about it on the Video4Linux Wiki so hopefully others will get this working fine by using Google in the future.

You can check it out at http://www.linuxtv.org/v4lwiki/index.php/Kodicom_8800R

Basically I used:

Code: Select all

options bttv gbuffers=16 card=102,102,102,102,102,102,102,102
