Router
How might I configure a router so my Zoneminder machine can be behind it?

assuming your using NAT, you will need to setup port forwarding mate

Two Wire
The router built into my 2Wire DSL modem uses a little different terminology. It wants me to select the machine name of the, in this case, web server. The 2Wire thinks all the Linux machines on the network are called <unknown>. The Windows machines all have names.
So once I guessed the right unknown machine it works.
I will have to change to static IP addressing. I think I can do that.
Where do I change the "name" of the Linux machines? Is that the NETBIOS name?
