Failed to connect to Server ( Denied?)

Trying to setup a machine to monitor 4 CCTV cameras in our shop, and I am having problem with the LiveCD install.

I am testing a new computer and when booting to the LiveCD, the Quickcam I have plugged in the USB works fine. After I install the whole shebang, I click to view cam_1 and I get this error message, where there was an image before.

I "think" I have read through the docs but cannot find much to help fix this problem.

I don't know what messages to post, but in dmesg I get hundreds of "quickcam: frame lost".

Also how do I change the resolution for KDE, it set my desktop much bigger than my display shows, and I can't see the bar at the bottom.

Do you get any ZM errors in /var/log/messages? The one you posted I think comes from the quickcam driver.
