Axis 207 and 225FD

Post by Cemmie »

Hi all,

First of all I want to see that zoneminder is a wonderful app and I am glad to use it.
My problem is that the new axis cameras don’t work fine. The Axis 206, 206W and the 207W works properly. However the 207 and the 225FD have some problems. The big problem is that the 207 and 225FD seems to lose connetion, what I see is a black screen for just 2 a 3 seconds and than is the screen again normal but when the screen goes normal zoneminder thinks its a event and will record this. I’ve got over 100 events in a day. What I don’t understand is that de wireless cameras are working fine but the new wired cameras have this problem.

I have just as config local and WAN, /jpg/image.jpg, /axis-cgi/mjpg/video.cgi and /mjpg/video.mjpg. The camera have the newest firmware and works fine with axis ace software.

Iam running zoneminder 1.22 on a P4 3 gig with 512 MB

Hopefully someone have some solutions for me.

Thanks.

I think someone else has posted regarding the new 207's and a mem leak in the firmware. They are waiting on a fix from axis. If you search for 207 you should find it i would think

Hoi James,

Ive send a mail to axis and told my problem. The customes support send me the following mail:

The problem does not have do with the firmware or memory leak, but with the ActiveX component of the camera. If everything go properly, then a new firmware end comes from those also new activex contain this month. These must solve the problem for the Internet explorer. To the application will apply that there update must come with the new AMC. Then it has been also solved for that.

I dont no if we can adjust the AMC without the new firmware?

That doesn't make sense to me. ZM doesn't use any of the ActiveX stuff.
