channel 3 isn't capturing but 0,1,2 are

Post by haxhia »

Hi all.

I'm having trouble with one camera in one card. I've got 4 cards. All work (all that I'm using anyway). One channel in one card doesn't work though. It's set in mode "Modect" and but no matter what you throw in front of it, it doesn't cause an alarm (i.e. doesn't record the event). However if you just look at it (like a "monitor" state camera it works (i.e. you can see the object moving)). I also tried forcing an alarm and this also works (i.e. actually records the event this time).

Initially, I had these errors:
Apr 8 09:12:47 spyserver zmf_m5[6451]: ERR [Incomplete read of frame image data, 16112 bytes only]
Apr 8 09:12:47 spyserver zma_m5[6455]: ERR [Incomplete frame write: 16128 of 30096 bytes written]
However, I fixed this by disabling farm out wrtiting of images (thanks jameswilson for your help with that).

Now, I don't know if this is related or anything, but I though I should mention it.
Then, I thought I'd rename it (from "fuel-depot-1" to "fuel-depot" thinking that number maybe aren't allowed). This didn't fix it. The logs don't even show an "attempt" by this cam to record. With the working cameras the logs show this kind of stuff:
Apr 23 18:30:41 spyserver zma_m10[17272]: INF [Licence_Plate_Cam: 40123 - Gone into alert state]
One other thing that the logs show is this error (occassionally):
Apr 23 18:09:09 spyserver zma_m3[17226]: ERR [Can't open events/3/216184/120-cap ture.jpg: No such file or directory]
This error though seems to be caused by a bug in 1.22 (from the research I did).

So. Don't know what else to say. If someone can help me it sure would be appreciated.

Thanks,
-Gezim

You most likely need to tweak your zone settings to be more sensitive. Especialy so if the lense has a wider field of view ( a 3.5mm vs 50mm ).
The defualt settings in 1.22.0 are a bit mangled and this should be fixed in 1.22.1 as well.
