Export Mysql monitors and settings

Post by hp1 »

As I'm still grappling with the zm processes going defunct, I'd like to do a full clean install to ensure that nothing from previous builds/configs is influencing the current install. Is there any way to:

- Export Monitor and ZoneMinder settings for reference purposes.
- Clean out an older install

Any advice is appreciated.

thanks

You can export a database by using mysqldump (do mysqdump --help for details).

You should also be able to uninstall ZM by doing 'make uninstall' from the ZM build directory if you still have it. Assuming you are referring to a source build and not an rpm.

thanks, that did the export. Next weekend I'll uninstall 1.22.0 and install 1.22.1 to a clean database and see if I still get the defunct issues.
