Would like sharper moving images on Axis 207

Post by vahan1 »

So everything is setup and looks good. When there isn't too much motion, objects appear clear/sharp. While moving, they're not very sharp - sample below. Any way to tweak the config to improve this?

Current Config:

Axis 207 wired, using jpg stream @ 640x480, not limited frame rate, modect.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks you :)

you can set it to image quailty or framerqate (well you could on a 206) if you select none or image quailty it will slow the shutter down and give loverly images without movement or select framrate and it will help, but you cant beat more light!!

Please post your results, I'm very interested in what quality can be achieved while maintaining sensible settings.

So selecting framerate definitely made considerable difference. It drops down the quality - the picture has higher noise level - but higher framerate. I would compare the change to taking pictures on a camera at 100 ISO vs 800 or higher ISO.

I can defenitely distinguish the faces now. Here's a sample after a change, keep in mind, i'm moving pretty fast in this one. I'd definitely recommend changing these to the "framerate" setting.
