Problems with installation

Post by rsdvd »

Hi All

Thanks to help from you guys, I have now managed to get my GrandTec 4 port card to recognise the cameras I have....unfortunately all I can is static and a squashed picture at the top.

See http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g25/rsdvd/cam0.gif

I am not sure what I have done wrong, I would really appreicate any ideas as to what I might have done wrong.

Thanks in advance
Phil

Maybe by specifiying a different resolution for the cameras you will achieve a better picture. Sounds like something's wrong with the height of the picture.

I have clicked your link but it says no longer available. I assume you have all your resolutions and colour palettes the same?

Sorry about the picture......it seems photobucket was playing up.

Thanks for the answers, but how do I know what colour pallet and resolution I should be using?

the cameras I have a re no-name CMOS cameras from Hong Kong, and they do not say what resolution the support. Also I know they are colour but I have no idea what colour pallett they use.

I have tried to use xawtv to set up the cameras, but this is not included with the CTU distro and there are too many dependencies for me to be able to install it.

Thanks in advance.
