Working out Modect

Post by wheelbarrow »

Hi Guys,

I know this is a complicated system, but i am trying to get the basics working. I have zones setup and they work fine, they are picking up people as they walk to and from the door. I have two zones for this, one which covers the door which i have made more sensertive than one which covers the wider area.

I am now suffing from false trggers with clouds covering the sun. i have tride changing the max figs for changes, but looking at the stats for some images they are only just over the limits for creating alarms. if i change these then i start to miss people.

I has now tride the Preclusive type of zone, but could do with some pointers.

Any one care to give me an idea of the size and settings for a Preclusive zone to stop false alarms for changes in sunlight

Thanks

The best use for as preclusive zone in your circumstances would be to create a small one away from where your other detection zones are but pointing at somewhere where the sunlight changes will be seen.

If you configure this zone to trigger on the lighting change then it should stop alarms from being generated by changes in the other zones.

Hi Phil,

This is on 1.21.3, is there an option called lighting ?

I have set a zone which is 10% x 10% of a 320x240 image.
with alarmed pixels.
MinPT 20
MaxPT 0
MinAA 3
MaxAA 50

Does this sound ok or have i made an error.

Regards

That would probably be ok. I don't understand your question about lighting?

Hi Phil,

It was this that made me ask about the lighting change.

These are the two screen shots of the zones.

It's not an easy one to decided where to put the preclusive zone.

That looks about in the right place, provided the lighting changes in those areas as well. You can have more than one of course.
