Status View

Post by jameswilson »

Phil the new status view is great and just what i need for the remote alarm info, but i have some questions apart form the auth access one

The ID colums i assume matches the Monitor number
Func is the current mode ie None = 0 monitor = 1 etc in order?
State is the curretn state of the monitor but all i know is 2 and 4 2 = alarm 4 =normal?
TrgState? I have no idea about
LastImgTime i assume is the time of the last image (is this seconds since boot or something?)
WrIdx and WrIdx I assume are read and write index to show if machine is behind on writing images to disk?
LastEvt = last event number saved from monitor
FrmRate = Current Frame rate.

Also can wed add a status like code for each monitor. I have seen on my box when i have a db problem or the monitor isnt recording the monitor will go orange or red, can this sort of info be added here as a numeric. The reason i ask is that i hardly use the web i/f and if i dont i dont know about stopped errors or orange monitor errors if the cam is still streaming. With this i could warn from zm4ms that there may be a problem that needs investigating? Set of sounders etc
Cheers
James

Sorry Phil id like to change the above. I think a health page would be better and more flexible, ie a global ok =0 or errors = >0
ie
health=0 or
health=8

No more detail as it just a global ok/not ok
That way i can check status easily and report an error that needs investigating ie orange indicator, status = stopped stuff like that

It also means i can add a system tray icon to zm4ms to quickley check health or even make a monitoring server to check multiple zm's are ok. If a seperate page is used people could either use my windows software to check or write there own scripts on the servers themselves to send emails etc.

Anyway, thoughts?
