Browser login problem for creating monitor(Zoneminder)

Dear all,

To create monitor we have to do

1. Open the browser and point to http://localhost/zm.php
2. Create your monitor and start playing !

I am facing login problem after Opening the browser pointing to http://localhost/zm.php

I have checked in the database about the defalt user 'admin' with password.
The password was not 'admin' but '43e9a4ab75570f5b'

I have tried both the passwords but still I am unable to login.

Can anyone suggest something?

is this a new install
I think you may need to turn authentication on im settings before accessing the web i/f It is a known bug, what version are you running?

Yes its a new installation

The version we are using is ZoneMinder-1.22.2

The authentication I have found in the file /ZoneMinder-1.22.2/src/zm_config_defines.h

#define ZM_OPT_USE_AUTH 1

Is there any other way or type of authentication required. Please explain

you need to turn auth on as there was a bug in certain releases. You need tro edit the auth flag. If you search for it on hee you will find a few posts about it.
