I'm not sure why yet. But when I rebooted following an intall of the ZMLiveCD 1.22.2 to Hard disk (That had a previous Fedora install on it)
I was at a 'black screen'. Well a grub> prompt.
Anyway to boot I typed:
grub> kernel /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.16.17.rdm1.smp root/dev/hda1
grub> boot
Remember to use tab key to autocomplete long filenames.
Bingo! it loaded up
Ah, but the Install CD wanted to use LILO right? My previous GRUB is lying around here!
So I drop to a Shell and type sudo lilo -M /dev/hda
Boots up for me now using LILO instead.
