MONTAGE population time

Post by sick347 »

hi,

I have 6 cams of various flavors connected.

2 COAX
4 IP GS1000's

The first 2 cams (the COAX types) populate immediately when I open MONTAGE. HOWEVER, the other images take several minutes...BUT if I click on an indiviual cam, that action somehow forces to other MONTAGE images to populate immediately.

This IS REPRODUCEABLE!!!

any ideas?

thanks

actually...I hate IE :x

I am a BIG fan of Mozilla and Firefox. In this case I'm using Firefox and have been.

I suspect it has something to do with the way the streaming JPEG images are being buffered?

actually, I have another question:

Is there a way I can get a server (such as the LINUX box ZM is installed on) to auto-update these about:config entries?

thanks

Not as far as I know (I would think it would be a security risk anyway) but there is some discussion of the FF preferences files etc here which may be useful.

No, there isn't, and you wouldn't want there to be. As Phil notes, it would be a security hole. Probably a really nasty one.
