Hi Phil

ZM Version 1.22.2

Is it on purpose that a user that only have View properties can be able to change the zone settings for the monitor. ?

This presents a problem in my point of view since a user that should not have any permissions to make changes to the system can change the zone settings, thou that it could be a good idea to be able to only view the zone settings.

Maybe that should be a part of the view proberty for the cam/event proberty.

Hi Tom,
You might want to try to commit a change and you might find that while it looks like it saving the change, it really did not. Try committing a change, close the zone window and reopen. You should find that no change has been saved.

At least that's how it's working for me on FC3 & 5

I can see that i have been abit hasty in my initial post, and have tested it abit more and can see that you are absolutely correct, the changes dont take efect.

Yes, that is the multiple levels of security in ZM

The permissions are checked when the changes are applied as well as when they are offered. However they should be consistent so I will look at tightening this up.
