i tried making a filter like this

purgewhenfull

archive status = non archived

% of disk >= 40

saved with

checking the email option

and to delete

the delete works

and in options

i typed the email adress

i tried with both (checked & unchecked) latest perl method

and saved


and also i made another filter


id=8
image alarm >0


( maximum fps is 5

Alarm maximum fps is 10)


saved with checking email option

this also does not work


please help

Hi !

Do you see something in the log ?
You can type "tail -f /var/log/messages" in a root terminal and check if you see error message regarding the mail sending.

An other question, what did you set as smtp server ?
You should set your ISP smtp server address except if you have your own smtp server.

To do the test, instead of deleting, i've selected archiving not to loose my events.

also check your filter by running it and checking you see some results. People remove lots from the email config and this will stop it working. Also it doesnt support smtp auth so if your not using an isp that wll accept un auth smtp your gonna struggle.

Hi,

First, you have a problem with capturing.
In the monitor definition, you must increase the Image Buffer Size (frames) from 40 to 80 for the monitor where you do motion detection and restart ZM, this should fix the 'Buffer overrun' message.
Check also in the file /var/log/zm/zmfilter.log if you have errors messages.
About your isp SMTP server, you must use the same as in your email client (outlook, outlook express, thunderbird, ...)
As i know Wanadoo is a french ISP, but it seems to be orange now, then in the email parameter (option menu) you must set the variable ZM_EMAIL_HOST to 'smtp-msa.orange.fr'.
To be sure, check informations you have received when you have made your internet access subscription.

now i can sent this through email

and the isp i have given as smtp.wanadoo.fr
