Changed video settings to 1280x1024 @ 60hz, now system will not load.

Broken Mandrake system with Video settings..
Hi !
While your machine is running (with black screen i presume), try to press CTRL-ALT-F1 to get a console access.
Once you have a console access, you can execute 'mcc' and change video (display) settings.

Login prompt..
I got the login prompt, however it shows control chars when i hit ENTER, e.g. shows ^M^M^M
I can't get to a password prompt.
I got to the login prompt by typing the CTRL-ALT-F1, I got to the login prompt with mandrake 3 also.
Thanks for the info BTW, I'm used to SUSE and FC4.
This helps, but I still can't login. I'm using the static profile. Its the Control CHAR issue ..
It won't accept ENTER.

The Ctrl-Alt NumLock + and - keys changed the resolution for me, wow! I felt like a Gorilla in a china shop with that resolution! haha!
I got it working @ 1280x1024 x 16 million. I wanted to match it since its on a sw.
Thanks a bunch!!!!
