are you using ctu?
If you post your current zm4ms path, also the defaukt still path. this is easy obtained by viewing live strem, clucking stills, then right clicking on the image. If itd publically accesable I will do this for you

James,

While i was writing the answer (containing path you was asking) to your last message, i've found what was wrong ...

In fact the answer was in ZM !
I've checked the parameters in ZM options, in the 'Paths' tab.
And the Web path to zms streaming server (in my distro) was '/cgi-bin/zm/zms' and not '/cgi-bin/zm' as mentioned somewhere in a previous post.

Best regards,

Oliver

For those of you that have some problem with the playback in zm4ms, please check the Wiki here : http://www.zoneminder.com/wiki/index.php/Zm4ms_playback

Hi James

Returning to ZM after almost a year away and noticed your windows frontend.

I installed ZM from the Mandriva LiveCD and all appears to be working OK.

Is there a basic install guide for your application as i cannot seem to get it to work.

In setup i have the IP address that my DHCP server has allocated over my wireless LAN , Port number i have left at 80? and the user/pass is set to one i created on the ZM box.

any ideas?

many thanks, Gary

if using port numbers you need to include the ':'. If using 80 then leave blank.
It should work as is on the mandriva as thats what it was written for. Alas there is no docs as yet as i hate writing them. If anyone else wants to that would be good!
There a few notes on my site and in the wiki

I assume the issue you are having is live viewing? You are getting a red x

Id delete the 80 as it would make the request in code invalid. If you want to leave the 80 there you need to replace with :80

yeah this is the topic.
If you look at my site there are 2 links to zm4ms
one is titled zm4ms and goes to the zm4ms page
the other is called download zm4ms and is the download link

To be fair though neither contain any documention just screen shots if zm4ms working.
If you have read the early pages of this then you should get the general idea on how to set it up.
A couple of people have said they would do a basic doc for it. But i personally feel that there is enough info in the topic to get it working, and i do enough writing the app and i hate writing docs for anything, least of all a free app!!
