Zm appears to have purged all the events and started again

Post by rchurch »

ZM appears to have a purged almost all the events. I set ZM to use the PurgeWhenFull filter.

Does that filter purge all the events or does it purge enough of the remaining files to keep the space within that limit?

It should just purge the oldest events to bring the total down to the limit.

Could be your PurgeWhenFull filter is a bit broken, or another filter is acting up - /or/, possibly the most likely, it could be a file system error that's nuked the mysql database. Worth checking the logs through to see if something else has caused a prob.

When previewing the PurgeWhenFull filter in the GUI does the Limit to first XX results only; option determine the number of events deleted at a go?

you need to save a limt in the purge when full filter else when if you have no limit to the number of results retuned (i use 3 x number of connected cams) then tyhe filter will remove all events. If limit is 4 it will remove 4 events his time, 4 next time etc up until the disk percent used rops below the filter value
