CPU load is high I think
I'm setting up ZM Live CD 1.22.2.1 on an AMD duron 1300 and I have two cams working. CPU load seems to hover at around 1.2 but sometimes stays up at about 30 for a few minutes at a time. This seems to happen when I view the files in /var/lib/zm but anyway, is an average CPU load supposed to be higher than 1? I thought if it was higher than 1 that meant that there was more to do than the CPU could handle. What's the deal with "cpu load" anyway? Thanks in advance. I love ZM. Thanks very much, Ross, and ZM guys!

I use a duron 750 at home, what framerate at what res you rinning mate. I run 2 cams at 320 * 240 with jpeg mmx and my 15 min load is 0.11

It's not a simple question - go to the link below for more details.
Basically, a load on 1.0 on a single-cpu machine means it's working at 100%. A higher load means it has more jobs waiting to to be processed, a lesser one that the cpu is idly part of the time.
A consistently very high load means it's struggling and wrt ZM, this usually means frames and events will be skipped. A load of 30 under any circumstances is bad when you need realtime operation like recording cctv and you should adjust so it's nominally below 1.0 at all times. Check the forums, there's loads of ways to reduce load in ZM. (I oughta wiki this sometime)
