Automaticly upload events via FTP when they occur

Hi,
I've pretty much got my system running as I would like it, however there is just one other thing I want to add, automatic FTPing.

I've looked through the documentation and have only found one reference to FTP (filter section). It appears I can do the automatic ftp and e-mail using filters however I have not been able to work it out.

If anyone knows, could they give me the steps involved??? Also I assume this will occur every time an event is generated?

Yeah, check out 'FTP' in the ZM properties. Then the filters should do the rest.

I have setup the FTP properties, under the admin console. Also have check, from a shell prompt that I can ftp to my external ftp server, however I don't know how to setup the filter.

Can someone please explain?

Create a filter that gives you a list of events you would like to ftp. Experiment as much as you like until the displayed events are the ones you want, in general. Then when you save the filter it will give you the chance to check an option to upload all matching events. Just do that and, provided you have set up your ftp details in Options, it will upload automatically from then on.
