zms idea for multiple images

I know your looking at (maybe) a new sequential switch zms but could you now make a quad / 9 way split as one image ie
zms&view=montage&id=1+2+3+4&view=2x2 etc etc
then we could pass 3x3 and cams 1-9 etc etc then this could be streamed as 1 image on mpeg, would help bandwidth and may help sync issues etc. I know its hard on the machine as i have done it with the windows desktop image generator but with this new mmx lib maybe the effect would be less?

This is already on the to-do list (which is currently getting longer rather than shorter). The mechanics of creating it are not really that hard as it's just image blending before you even get to the encoding. This fiddly bit is configuration really.
