Ascending / Descending - Next / Previous

Post by BarryH »

Hello,

I've noticed that if I switch the ZM_WEB_EVENT_SORT_ORDER to Descending, to place the newest events on top, the Next and Previous buttons on the Events web page are incorrect. Next acts like previous and vice versa.

Can someone make the Next and Previous buttons aware of the ZM_WEB_EVENT_SORT_ORDER variable??

Thanks,

Barry

I have just tried this and it works for me. From the help for that option
Events in lists can be initially ordered in any way you want. This option controls what order (ascending or descending) is used to sort them. You can modify this ordering from filters or by clicking on headings in the lists themselves. Bear in mind however that the 'Prev' and 'Next' links, when scrolling through events, relate to the ordering in the lists and so not always to time based ordering.
Are you saying that the Next and Prev buttons do not reverse their sense when the ordering changes?

No, I was pointing out the fact that the Next and Previous no longer correlate with the time of day of the events. From the quote you supplied, it looks as if this is normal behavior. Next and Previous just move up or down the list.
