Dear Ladies and Guys,
I have read posts on this forums for a while, because my zoneminder came up with several alarms "just as it wanted to".
I am using four Philips LTC450/51-Professional- cameras on a now "type 77"-card;
The Solution was to change the resolution on the "source"-tab to 640x480.
Before it was 384x288 (PAL, as used in European Countries) and the "ghost" alarms happend.
With everything set to the same, now my zoneminder earns his name "Argus"!
For me, as an Hardware-Development-Guy it seems like there is some aliasing when using high-resolution-cameras with lower capture-resolution.
and many (!!!) thanks to the guy, who wrote zoneminder for us! It's unbelievable how much energy one can spend on developing free software for other's property safety!

and one last: the capture cards called "Digiprotect" from ABUS WON'T work, although they have a BT878 on it - the Input switching is done by an 74HC5051-circuit on the card to provide faster input-switching...
