Hello, friends!!

Has somebody used Axis Dome Camera 231D+ with ZM??
Is it compatible with ZM??

I have one. It resolutions are:

4CIF (704x576)
2CIF Expanded (704x576)

Yes this camera should have no problems working with ZM.

Hi, I use a 214PTZ, but I think it's quite the same.

It is fully functional with zm at 4CIF and CIF resolutions and the PTZ controls are working very well..

Ok, thanks.

It have already run, but only with resolution = 352x288

I put into "Device Path": /axis-cgi/mjpg/video.cgi?resolution=352x288

and "Capture Width (pixels)"-->352, "Capture Heigth (pixels)"-->288

How can I use 4CIF (704x576)??

Oh, sorry for not reading well.. in the setup menu of my 214 there are these resolutions (maybe an NTSC/PAL version difference?):

CIF: 384x288
4CIF: 768x576
I put into "Device Path": /axis-cgi/mjpg/video.cgi?resolution=352x288

and "Capture Width (pixels)"-->352, "Capture Heigth (pixels)"-->288
I've got "/axis-cgi/mjpg/video.cgi" only in Remote Host Path and then I set the resolution via the Capture Height and Width fields
How can I use 4CIF (704x576)??
I just select 4CIF in the setup menu of my cam and change width and height in zm accordingly. Be aware that such a high resolution will use much CPU power and maybe you have to increase the shmmax and shmall values.

Sorry, memone, I wanted to say "Remote Host Path".

OK, in the setup menu of my 231D+ there are also the same resolutions; but when i put these ones (704x576, i.e.) into Width and Heigth fields, ZM don't show the scene. Only with 352x288 it runs.

I put this line into /etc/sysctl.conf file: "kernel.shmmax=134217728", but I didn't put anythig like "shmall".

have I to add this optioin?? Is my setting of shmmax sufficient??

Thanks

I've checked for that resolution thing.. the difference is in checking or not the flag "aspect ratio correction" in the setup menu: anyway for me it's working at both res (704x576 and 720x576).

For shmall is adviced (look at FAQ) to set the same value you put for shmmax.

For your problem I think you have to have a look at log messages (in my system they are in the /tmp/ folder), at first in zmdc.log.

Try also in the config panel, in the debug tab, to enable extra logging an to increase the debug level.

PTZ on 214

Post by herf »

I use ZM 1.22.1 on Debian with 214 ptz and it works fine for the visualisation in (/axis-cgi/jpg/image.cgi?resolution=768x576), but I can't activate the ptz function.
I choose the option ptz in "Options/System".
I choose Axis API V2 in the control settings of the camera, but I don't really what to put in Control Device and Control Address.

Thanks for your help.
