Post by paulh »

The first version of the MythZoneMinder plugin for MythTV is available from svn.

More information is on the MythTV wiki including some screenshots.

:D
Thanks for the update. I was lurking on this because I was not using a cvs version of Myth, but now I will give it a try.

I have been using the browser in Myth to visit ZM but that did not really cut it.

Looks good.

I have it all going. Its perfect. Just the right amount of functionality.
No control just viewing monitors and events.

This is exactly the extra piece of MythTV that I was looking for.
Zoneminder already has everything :D

One thing to point out is that if you change any of the ZM monitor sources, you have to restart zmserver (thats the mythtv zmserver) or you mythfrontend will exit without warning.

Good work paul.

I am now running the following system:
AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+
FC6 (from a fresh install and yum updated)
Mythtv from svn
Zoneminder from source.
PVR-350 for myhttv
Provideo 4 port BTTV input for ZM
Bosch LTC045 cameras (3 currently installed)

After some tweeking it is all woking without issues.
No load issues. It can be monitoring the ZM cameras, recording a TV show and I can be watching a pre-recorded show all at the same time. I have not seen any slow downs!

Mythzoneminder, Ubuntu 7.10, mythzoneminder

Has anyone gotten this combination working yet? Synaptic installed (not in front of it) ~.20, which didn't have the mythzoneminder plugin. Enabling the multiverse repository let me install ~.21, which did, but it never showed up on the list of plugins.

Is the best option to deinstall all of myth and do the whole thing from SVN? Is there a quick auto-dep way of doing that?
