I first thought I had a driver problem but I can get images from my cam useing tvtime. When I pull up the moniter window in ZM i get a broken image icon and I have no idea where to start. This is the first time I have tried something complex like this. I followed the FC6 Wiki but nothing. Where should I look first?

This suggests that zm is not able to capture an image from the device and confirms your problem.
Have you turned up the debug?
Are there no other errors in any of the other logs?

Okay, that shows that the devices are initialized and we already know they work since you have them working with tvtime, but yields no errors as I requested.
Try using:
tail -f /tmp/zm*.log /var/log/messages
adjust the paths as required and start zm to see what transpires.

You might need to turn up the debug and check the debug logs.

Signal 4, which is what zmc is crashing with, is an illegal instruction. Are you sure you have compiled ZM for the correct architecture?

JUst follow the instructions for building in the README and you should be ok.

What exactly did you do? -- I followed the readme and am still getting:

it appears your using an saa based card. If i were you that doesnt look related to this thread start a new topic detailing as much info as you can ie card type logs etc
