Entering pan speed in hex?

Entering pan speed in hex?

I was wondering if you can enter pan/tilt ranges in hex eg:

my pan speed is 0x00 full speed
0x80 no speed
I entered these above values in the control script entry fields but they were set back to "0" on opening it a second time?
Other range values are C0, A7, etc.....

all working well now didn't need to input in hex just had to extensivley fool with numbers...
