Zoneminder,
I am looking for hires cameras. Even though Axis cameras are a bit expensive, the seem to work right out of the box so they are appealing.
I have been looking at these cameras but want to be able to use a different lens than the ones they ship with. Can one change the lens?
Can one change the lens if you open the case and make changes?
Any pointers would be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply, has anyone opened the case? Is the lens hard mounted to the case (such that you break plastic to get it free) or is it screwed in?jameswilson wrote:no the lens is part of the case and not interchangable
I have no problem with taking the thing apart, if internally there is some way to mount a different lens.
I'm guessing that in order to keep the cost down, the lens is one piece and is actually used to hold the circuit card to the case, so it does not use a C or CS mount internally.
Thanks for the info.
