any guidance on installing on debian etch?

hi there all - I had zoneminder working on ubuntu edgy however something else wasnt working on it and now changed my installation to etch but when trying to install had many errors regarding missing packages.
is there anyone here who can put some howto for etch?

Debian install is pretty straight forward. Just install the package.

Only glitch seems to be changing the permissions of the events directories so that www-data can read them.
