ZoneMinder has stopped recording

Post by sleeper0110 »

My ZoneMinder install was working just fine, but it looks like it has gone into an odd state. It is not recording anything (If you click the cam name in the web interface, it shows the previous 10 events and shows them as "new event" rather than the date). Also, its not using any space on my HDDs. Usually I'd have to delete events once a week just to clear up some space.

I've checked the mysql databases and they don't seem to have problems:
mysqlcheck -u root -p -r --all-databases

Here is some output from /var/log/messages:
May 8 13:55:46 security zmc_dvideo2[12318]: WAR [Buffer overrun at index 0, slow down capture, speed up analysis or increase ring buffer size]
May 8 13:55:48 security zmc_dvideo1[12292]: WAR [Buffer overrun at index 3, slow down capture, speed up analysis or increase ring buffer size]
May 8 13:55:49 security zmc_dvideo3[12344]: WAR [Buffer overrun at index 6, slow down capture, speed up analysis or increase ring buffer size]

I get a lot of those types of lines.

And about half of my Sources (in the web interface) show up as orange (The function is either record of modect). And lastly some of my cameras have an "alarm state" going off.

I've restarted the zm and mysqld services.

Does anybody have any ideas?

Thanks.

I'm having the same problem. I didnt see it with 1.21 version ever so this is a new problem. In my case it is a single channel in usually the second input on a bt chip. Strange. and it always happens when I clear the old events.

But here's the workaround ...

Stop ZM.
Use phpmyadmin and go to the Events table. insert a record and set the monitor ID to the monitor that is 'stuck' for recording.
Save then restart ZM.

It's a bug.
