Upgrade ZM 1.22.2 to 1.22.3

Hello, please can you help me.
You may be are going to tell me " this topic allready exist " go and read it.
I did, but it do not work. The URL is not working anymore, this one :

My situation is : I have loaded ZM 1.22.2 form LiveCD to my HD. OK it is working.While i'am working into ZM-Console, a windows open saying "an update to ZoneMinder is available. The latest release is 1.22.3, you have V1.22.2. i lick on APPLY it run me to ZoneMinder.com
Ok, if what i did is right, i go to download section, and on the first download line, " Release 1.22.3 23rd November 2006" i clik on ALT1 or ALT2 to download the file.
Is is correct ?
That's what i did.
With guest-Konqueror I can see my file into DESKTOP name
" ZoneMinder-1.22.3.tar.gz"
Is it correct ?
And now what shall i do ?
How to install for upgrading ?
I have been reading LINUX for beginner, i red many lessons, but i could find how to do that.

no you need the rpm above ifthe link is down ross will be about soon enough if not im sure i can host it somewhere

if you want to upgrade a live cd install the best way is by rpm

If the link is down to ross's rpms (he is the guy that builds them) then its best you wait for ross, he is here most days

Always use the latest zm rpm you find for your distro version.

I think I have my firewall configured correctly so let me know if you are able to get the rpms you need. If so I will update the link in the wiki.

Here is the howto for the mandriva package manager. It describes howto update packages in Mandrake/Mandriva.
Sorry I haven't used the distro in a while and haven't kept current on their new package manager but this should get you going.

The way to upgrade your installation is to download the latest zm rpm from http://sentrix.homeip.net/rpms/mdk_2006/

Then in a konsole window enter the command "sudo rpm -Uvh zm-1.22.3-5.1.20060mdk.i686.rpm"

Then enter the command "sudo service zm restart" and you will be all up to date

Hi Ross
I have downloaded from http://sentrix.homeip.net/rpms/mdk_2006/
OK, my file is into" desktop" path is : /home/guest/desktop
When i open Konsole i have
[guest ~$]
i type "sudo rpm -Uvh zm-1.22.3-5.1.20060mdk.i686.rpm"
answer is : error open ZM......... no such file or directory.
I understand i am not at the right directory. So i go to
[/home/guest]# in red color.
same result = error open........
i go to root = same, etc.. etc..
Where shall i go ?

you need to navigate to where the rpm is saved. Before you do the rpm -Uvh

do

dir

and check the rpm is listed. Id expect you to have to chnage to your Desktop directory and note when changing directory in linux its case sesitive

Sorry, but did you read what i wrote ?
You ask me to do exactly what i did ...
i told my file is into :/home/guest/desktop
i can assure it is there, because i have seen it with Konqueror.
When i open Konsole i have
[guest ~]$
if i type : dir
i got : Video Desktop Music rpm Pictures bin tmp and others
Those file are exactly the one i have seen with Konqueror.
if i type :
[guest ~]$ cd tmp
i got
[guest tmp]$
if i type :
[guest tmp]$ cd
i got
[guest ~]$ cd bin
i got
[guest bin]$
if i type:
[guest bin]$ cd
i got
[guest ~]$
if i type :
[guest ~]$ cd desktop
i got
bash: cd: desktop: No such file or directory

so i am able to change to some directory, but not to Desktop.
And that is the place where is my RPM .
I must do errors, but i don't see which one.

With linux "desktop" is not he same as "Desktop".
This is different than windows. All filenames, paths, passwords, and almost anthing else you may think of are case sensitive. If you see uppercase in the "ls" or "dir" output then you must use that.
If you like you can do it this way:
"sudo rpm -Uvh Desktop/zm-1.22.3-5.1.20060mdk.i686.rpm"
