Alarm settings ?'s

I have installed a WDR day/night dome camera in the backyard and at night the alarm is triggered all night long. Our house is backed up to a main street (lighted) It seems when the camera switches to BW mode it records everything, all non alarms and the slightest lighting change. ie car drives by. Last night there were over 2500 events. I know my alarm settings are most likely not set correctly. The day/night dome in the front of the house does not record all night, just the one in the back. My settings areas follows: Type-Active. Preset-Fast, high sensitivity. Alarm check method-AlarmedPixels. Min/Max Pixel Threshold (0-255)-20. These settings work great during the day, but at night they go nuts!!! Is there any way program the sensitivety levels to change once the camera goes into BW mode or at a specified time. Any input is appreciated Thanks.

I am far from an expert but try turning on statistics and having a look at some of the alarm frames and you will see how much zm "thinks" is changing. You can then use this to tune your settings.
